SBI Card and IndiGo Launch Co-Branded Credit Card With BluChip Rewards

  • IndiGo and SBI Card have launched the IndiGo SBI Card and SBI Card ELITE, offering up to 29,000 BluChips annually, along with benefits such as lounge access, milestone bonuses, and travel insurance.
  • This marks IndiGo’s third co-branded card in 2025, following partnerships with Kotak Mahindra Bank (July) and IDFC FIRST Bank (August), each offering accelerated BluChip rewards and unique perks.
  • By collaborating with multiple banks, IndiGo is strengthening BluChips as a travel currency, allowing everyday spends across partners to be redeemed for flights, upgrades, meals, and other services.
IndiGo SBI Card and SBI Card ELITE

IndiGo, together with SBI Card, the country’s largest pure-play credit card issuer, has introduced the IndiGo SBI Card under the IndiGo BluChip loyalty program

The premium co-branded credit card is available in two variants: IndiGo SBI Card and IndiGo SBI Card ELITE, aimed at delivering a highly rewarding experience for frequent travellers.

Customers can earn rewards across IndiGo’s ecosystem, as well as on hotel and travel bookings in other categories. Enrollment is available digitally through SBI Card SPRINT or the SBI Card website, and offline at SBI Card retail kiosks.

The IndiGo SBI Card offers a superior travel experience with a host of benefits designed to make every trip more seamless and rewarding. Cardholders can earn 7% rewards with the IndiGo SBI Card ELITE and 3% rewards with the IndiGo SBI Card on spends made within IndiGo’s ecosystem.

For hotel and travel bookings on other platforms, customers can earn 3% rewards with the ELITE card and 2% rewards with the standard card. Additionally, IndiGo SBI Card ELITE and IndiGo SBI Card members receive 2% and 1% rewards, respectively, on all other categories.

Rewards earned through the IndiGo SBI Card ELITE and IndiGo SBI Card go beyond traditional points; they act as a complete travel currency.

These rewards, credited as IndiGo BluChips to the customer’s BluChip account in every billing cycle, can be redeemed across a wide range of IndiGo services — from flight and hotel bookings to seat upgrades, meals, Fast Forward, 6E Eats vouchers, and more.

By combining day-to-day spending with travel benefits, the card enables members to earn up to 29,000 bonus BluChips annually.

Speaking on the launch Ms. Salila Pande, MD & CEO, SBI Card said, “At SBI Card, we have observed that travel constitutes an important spend category for our cardholders. With increased exposure, and growing disposable incomes, tech-savvy customers in India are increasingly seeking holistic travel experiences. As a customer-centric organisation, we truly understand the evolving requirements and hence have formed this strategic partnership with IndiGo to launch the IndiGo SBI Card and address such needs. IndiGo SBI Card is a powerful product offering unparalleled benefits, ensuring every journey becomes more rewarding and seamless. We are confident that this premium credit card will be a key part of our strong co-brand card portfolio.”

Mr. Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo said: “With IndiGo BluChip, we are constantly exploring ways to enhance the value proposition for our loyal customers. Our partnership with SBI Card is an important step in that journey. This co-branded credit card is designed to bring significant value addition, convenience, and benefits to our frequent flyers, transforming everyday spending into rewarding travel experiences. We are delighted to collaborate with SBI Card to empower our customers with exclusive advantages for their continued patronage.”

To further enhance value, the IndiGo SBI Card comes with welcome and milestone rewards. Customers receive up to 5,000 BluChips upon paying the first-year annual fee and making the first transaction. They can also earn 2,500 BluChips on annual spends starting from ₹2 lakh with the standard card, and 6,000 BluChips on spends from ₹3 lakh with the ELITE variant.

In addition, the card provides renewal benefits of 2,500 BluChips on annual fee payment for the IndiGo SBI Card, and 5,000 BluChips plus one 6E Eats voucher for the ELITE version.

Lounge privileges are also included—domestic lounge access for both cards and complimentary international lounge access for ELITE cardholders. The ELITE card also extends travel insurance, covering cancellations, lost baggage, and lost credit cards.

The joining and annual renewal fee for the IndiGo SBI Card is ₹1,499 plus taxes, while the IndiGo SBI Card ELITE is priced at ₹4,999 plus taxes. Both variants are available in contactless form on the Mastercard and RuPay platforms.

Building on Kotak and IDFC FIRST Partnerships

The launch of the IndiGo SBI Card marks the third major co-branded credit card under IndiGo’s BluChip program this year.

In July 2025, IndiGo refreshed its collaboration with Kotak Mahindra Bank, unveiling the IndiGo Kotak Credit Card and IndiGo Kotak Premium Credit Card. These variants offer up to 21 BluChips per 100 spent on IndiGo’s booking channels, along with welcome bonuses of up to 4,000 BluChips, milestone rewards for higher annual spends, anniversary benefits, and complimentary domestic lounge access.

A month later, in August 2025, IndiGo partnered with IDFC FIRST Bank to launch the IndiGo IDFC FIRST Credit Card, available on both Mastercard and RuPay. This card provides up to 22 BluChips per 100 on IndiGo flight bookings, milestone rewards of up to 25,000 BluChips annually, a welcome package of 5,000 BluChips plus a 6E Eats voucher, and an additional 3,000 BluChips for spends of 1 lakh within 90 days. It also features a low 1.49% forex markup and bundled travel insurance. Customers can either pay a ₹4,999 joining fee or opt for a ₹1 lakh FD-backed issuance route for assured approval.

With the addition of the IndiGo SBI Card, which offers high earning potential within the IndiGo ecosystem, milestone bonuses, airport lounge access, and insurance benefits, customers now have a wider set of choices tailored to different travel and spending patterns.

As IndiGo itself emphasises in the SBI Card announcement, “Rewards earned … are more than just points; they serve as a complete travel currency.” By extending this value proposition across multiple banking partners, IndiGo is ensuring that everyday spending can seamlessly translate into meaningful travel rewards, making BluChips a central pillar of its customer engagement strategy.
