JEKTA, Innovative Aerosystems to enhance Liberty Flight Deck for PHA-ZE 100

Dubai, UAE – Today at Dubai Airshow 2025, JEKTA – booth 560b – the Switzerland-based developer of the zero-emissions PHA-ZE 100 flying boat and Innovative Aerosystems (IA), agreed to jointly evolve a highly customized, next-generation iteration of the Liberty Integrated Flight Deck, IA’s established and well-proven flight-deck technologies. JEKTA CEO George Alafinov and Shahram Askarpour, IA CEO, aim to add real value to operators flying in diverse riverine, paved, and unpaved environments worldwide by optimizing existing Liberty Integrated Flight Deck features and adapting them to the needs of PHA-ZE 100 operators.
New graphics designs have already been defined to modify the existing Liberty user interface to better suit amphibious operations and reduce single-pilot workload. For operators flying in austere, remote, or challenging locations, or where English is not the local first language, text-based messaging options are being established to support pilot-to-ground communication, streamline workload, and enhance safety.
JEKTA is seeking to create a flight-deck avionics system optimized to enhance operational capabilities for multi-purpose applications across diverse operating environments by leveraging logic and AI to improve redundancy and mitigate technical failures. For example, the next-generation system specifications can reshape how power is used in an emergency by supplying energy only to systems essential for a safe landing and extend functionality to preprocess data from aircraft systems to enable predictive maintenance. The advanced customizations aim to enable operations to run more smoothly from and to water, optimizing passenger ride comfort across all flight regimes.
JEKTA and Innovative Aerosystems (IA), formerly Innovative Solutions & Support, both have a long-standing heritage of delivering amphibious operations and avionics solutions, respectively. As a long-time supplier of avionics for air transport, military transport, tanker, and other platforms, IA has a reputation for supplying rugged equipment capable of operating in the harshest environments, including humid, aquatic, sandy, or dusty conditions. The company’s familiarity with the requirements of amphibious fire-bomber operations, whether in salt or freshwater, can also bolster PHA-ZE 100 flight-deck development.
“Our first customer is based in Dubai, which is why we’re seeking to create a flight deck that will accommodate diverse operating parameters and withstand the daily rigors of such disparate operations here in this region and globally,” says George Alafinov, CEO, JEKTA. “IA is willing to share its years of experience and work with us to jointly develop a novel solution that meets the needs of our operators. We want to give our pilots the freedom to choose how to optimize the Liberty flight deck to reduce workloads, improve situational awareness, and deliver a great passenger experience”
Shahram Askarpour, CEO of IA, adds, “We were attracted to this program because of the pioneering spirit at JEKTA, and we are already enjoying discussions with the team about how to create a Liberty flight deck that meets their customers’ unique mission requirements. We are ready to execute a program according to JEKTA’s development timeline and needs for operational success.”
